Norwegian Windows edition on suicide mission

So I downloaded this Debian netinstall image... and Windows went suicidal?

My trashcan would have me think there's something in it:

However, when I open it, it is (surprisingly) empty:

To make the "Recycle Bin Full" icon go away, I tried pressing the "Empty Recycle Bin" link, and something went very, very wrong at this point. The text in the dialog is in norwegian, but roughly translated it means "Are you sure you want to delete WINDOWS?"... Yes, I want to delete Windows, but I think my boss would be kind of mad at me for doing so.

The same thing happens if I right click the can and attempt to empty it from there too.
